Product Overview
Burford Finochietto Rib Spreaders enable cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons to expose the thoracic cavity cleanly during thoracotomies, sternotomies, and cardiac bypass procedures. Featuring modular interchangeable blades of varying depths, the system adapts smoothly to patient-specific anatomical contours while distributing heavy lateral tension evenly along the rib cage. The heavy-duty rack-and-pinion arm with a smooth crank handle delivers controlled, incremental mechanical separation with minimal operative slippage. Its rigid frame ensures unyielding rib fixation, providing an expansive and unobstructed operating corridor throughout demanding open-chest interventions.
Key Features:
• German stainless steel provides corrosion-free strength
• Interchangeable shallow and deep curved blades adapt easily to diverse thoracic anatomies
• Heavy-duty rack-and-pinion crank assembly delivers smooth, controlled rib distraction
