Product Overview
Heath Chalazion Forceps provide stable eyelid immobilization and reliable tissue presentation during minor ophthalmic interventions. The flat, solid lower blade slides smoothly beneath the palpebral surface, creating a protective barrier between the eyelid and the eye, while the open oval ring blade encircles the inflammatory lesion on the external or internal tarsal conjunctiva. Tightening the adjustable thumb-screw compresses surrounding microvascular arcades to maintain an unobstructed, dry operative site, allowing the ophthalmic surgeon to perform precise curettage and incision without blood obscuring the field.
Key Features:
• German stainless steel material provides corrosion-free strength
• Oval fenestrated upper ring isolates the lesion site and exposes the surgical target
• Solid, smooth lower plate protects the ocular globe from direct instrumental contact
• Fine-threaded thumb screw lock delivers calibrated, hands-free hemostatic compression
• Ergonomic flat spring handle provides balanced tactile feedback and steady finger control
Uses & Applications:
• Isolating and immobilizing tarsal lesions during chalazion incision and curettage
• Compressing marginal vessels to maintain a dry, bloodless operative field in eyelid surgeries
• Excising localized tarsal cysts, meibomian gland granulomas, and small palpebral tumors
