Product Overview
Castroviejo Capsule Forceps provide superior tactile sensitivity and fine directional control during continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis and capsular flap manipulation. The slender, arched shanks navigate smoothly through small corneal or limbal incisions without stretching or leaking viscoelastic material from the anterior chamber. Built with micro-serrated or cross-action clamping tips, they securely seize fragile capsular margins, allowing controlled tearing along natural cleavage lines without inadvertent zonular stress.
Key Features:
• German stainless steel material provides corrosion-free strength
• Curved micro-tips grasp the anterior lens capsule firmly without accidental slippage
• Slender, low-profile shanks enter small-incision clear corneal tunnels atraumatically
• Calibrated spring-action handle delivers uniform closing tension and prevents tissue crushing
• Textured flat handle surfaces ensure a secure, slip-resistant grip under the microscope
Uses & Applications:
• Initiating and completing continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis (CCC) during cataract surgery
• Retrieving and extracting retained anterior capsular fragments from the anterior chamber
• Manipulating subluxated capsular bags and stabilizing zonular margins in complex lens procedures
