Product Overview
Small Joint Compressor and Distractor enables orthopedic extremities specialists to achieve measured articular distraction and rigid interfragmentary compression during small joint reconstruction. Featuring twin threaded drive shafts, bilateral Kirschner-wire fixation clamps, and knurled adjustment thumbscrews, it applies bidirectional axial force smoothly across small bones, ensuring precise joint visualization during surface preparation and uniform compression throughout fusion plate fixation.
Key Features:
• German stainless steel material provides corrosion-free strength
• Bidirectional threaded drive mechanism delivers finely calibrated compression and distraction force
• Low-profile wire-clamping blocks secure standard Kirschner wires firmly without slipping
• Compact framework preserves unhindered surgical access and fluoroscopic visualization in tight operative fields
Uses & Applications:
• Distracting metatarsophalangeal and metacarpophalangeal joints cleanly for articular surface preparation
• Applying controlled interfragmentary compression across small bone arthrodesis and osteotomy sites
• Maintaining stable skeletal alignment and joint distraction during wrist and midfoot trauma reconstruction
